If it's May, it's time for West Virginia's Young Writers Celebration Day. This year marked the event's 25th Anniversary. Winners of every county's Young Writers Contests, along with their proud parents, grandparents, and teachers packed the University of Charleston's Geary Auditorium.
I was pleased and honored to, again, be asked to lead one of the Young Writers Workshops, conducting writing exercises for county winners in Grades 7 -9. Such talent! Click here to read the work of the first place state winners in each age category.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi,
Thanks for sharing the information.
Such programs are really good in the interest of developement of literature.
Clearly, West Virginia stands distinctive because of the history. Appalachia Mountain Range makes West Virginia a great tourist attraction.
